Sportrait Launch Update!

March 21, 2012

Click on this image for an Early Invitation!

We are almost ready for our BETA launch and we wanted to reach out to our future members. All young talented high school athletes and artists will have a Social Network that will allow them to showcase their talents directly with Colleges, Coaches and Recruiters. The Internet has reshaped the recruiting landscape over the past decade. Without the constraints of tight budgets and crammed scheduling, colleges, agencies and sponsors are able to search for and seek out a greater number of potential prospects. Students across the nation, once overlooked because of their school’s location or size, can now display their abilities for the world’s finest coaches and scouts to see. Members provide their own written achievements, just like a resume, while highlight reels, pictures and video (highlights and bloopers) add a dynamic visual element to each member’s profile.

Just a little bit of what Sportrait will do for the youth of America. Go to www.Sportrait.me and sign up for an early invitation and be one of the first to join our Network.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome. So drop us a line.

Scott Gordon from the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Supports Sportrait.me

September 8, 2011

The Sportrait Team would like to introduce Scott Gordon Professional Soccer player from the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Scott is a proud member of Sportrait.me who leads by example both on and off the field. His work ethic and determination both on the field and in the classroom have aided him in reaching his Dream. We at Sportrait want to thank Scott for coming along to help talented youth “Get to the next level!”

College and amateur
Gordon grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, attended Spanish River High School, and began his college soccer career at Mercer University, transferring to Lynn University prior to his sophomore year in 2007. After missing all of 2008 due to injury Gordon returned to the field for his junior season in 2009, appearing in 12 games and receiving an All-Sunshine State Conference Honorable Mention. He finished his college career with 28 games, logging five goals, four assists and 14 points. He was a two-time All-Sunshine State Conference honoree, and collected NSCAA All-South Region recognition honors as a senior.

During his college years Gordon also played for the Baton Rouge Capitals in the USL Premier Development League, scoring one goal in 14 games and helping the Capitals to the PDL national playoff semi finals in 2010.

Professional
Gordon was drafted in the third round (53rd overall) of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas, but was not offered a professional contract by the team.

Gordon subsequently signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League and made his professional debut – and scored his first professional goal – for the Strikers on April 29, 2011 in a 2-2 tie with the Puerto Rico Islanders.
